Story Consultation:
Half-Hour TV Pilot
The Details
The process is fairly straightforward. Click on the RESERVE MY SPOT button anywhere on this page to begin the process. It'll take you to a checkout page where you can reserve your spot.
Once you've completed your payment, you'll then be able to submit your script and reserve the time for our call from a calendar with available options.
Be sure you:
- have your script saved as a PDF... you will need to alter the file name to follow the naming convention, which is explained in detail
- be sure your script adheres to the page length requirements
- have your calendar available so you can choose a time that works for you
And that's it! Easy and simple.

What You Need
-
A completed and polished half-hour screenplay
-
Ability to access and use Zoom (includes microphone and camera)
-
Questions you may want to ask during our conversation
But What If...
My screenplay is longer than 40 pages?
The recommended length for half-hour TV pilot scripts is between 25-35 pages, so you need to be aiming for that window. Screenplay drafts may experience a bit of page creep, however, and the 40 page max limit is to accommodate this phenomena.
But if you have a script that is longer you might want to consider the Hour-Long TV Pilot, or you can send an email to: [email protected], and we can discuss options.
My script is so awesome and you don't really have any notes?
Honestly, I love it when this happens. And if it happens for your script, I'll let you know in an email what I like, why it's awesome, and then I'll refund 100% of your payment.
On the other end of the spectrum, if the screenplay is full of spelling, grammar, and formatting issues, or the storytelling is so confusing I have no idea what's going on in the first several pages, I'll also send you a polite email letting you know your script isn't ready for consultation, and I'll refund 100% of your payment.
So if you're on the top end, submit your script to production companies and managers. If you're on the bottom end, keep practicing, take a class or two (like my Screenwriting Fast Track course), and then revisit story consultation when you're ready.
